[The video feed flickers--and it's actually purposeful--onto a view of a thin, if not dreadfully unhealthy-looking man poised at one of the castle windows. He's been standing there, supposedly gazing into that fog for quite some time now. In reality, he's been trying to compose himself enough to find his way out.
Nothing about the way he holds himself reads as relaxed. Despite looking like a man who hasn't slept properly in a few days, his entire body is rigid and his eyes are wide, either in anticipation or fear--or both. The information and maps given to him by the maid are being crushed carelessly in one paint-stained hand while the fingers of his free hand drum impatiently against the window pane.
After a moment, the man finally opens his mouth to speak, but he immediately falters. Instead, his hand clenches, his shoulders begin to shake, and then he starts to laugh. It's a hysterical sort of laugh with no humor behind it, but it's definitely not the usually or the expected reaction and it's clear that this is a fragile man because tears eventually begin to roll down his face. Between chuckles and sobs, he manages to gasp out and continue to repeat:]
