Emily Jane Pitchiner "Mother Nature"

Had better working scrap than this.

[It's muttered as the video comes on, and the long faced woman might look a tad familiar to people, considering who she's related by blood to. The wild black hair, prominent nose and green ringed gold glare certainly lends a hand in it. She both looks and sounds annoyed.]

Since I have been led to believe that this is likely the easiest way to be heard by… those here, I will address the mass of you. I warn you now that I will not appreciate foolish answers or jests. Power or not I am still Mother Nature and I see no reason to act as if I am not.

First of all, what in the name of Cygnus is truly going on? Being kidnapped for something as trite as "spreading emotion and cheer" is ludicrous, and I shall not be participating in a war of any sort no matter how urgent it seems. One is enough for anyone to participate in.

[There's a pause, as if she is considering something for a long moment.]

Also, if anyone recognizes the name Pitchiner, knows who Tsar Lunaoff is then I would request to speak with you at your convenience.

[The guy opening the feed is obviously Ryan, just different-- his face has lost some of its previous youthful look, the lines and angles of it a little more pronounced now, and the scruff on his jaw has been allowed to grow longer than he used to keep it. So has his hair, which is pulled back into a messy tail, and he's apparently improved his fashion sense at least slightly: from what's visible on the video, his button-down shirt and argyle vest actually fit him instead of being baggy.

Once he starts, it's clear there's less of the usual eagerness and earnest manner in Ryan's face or voice, his demeanor more calm.]

Sorry for the disappearing act there. Figures you get dragged right back through the rabbit hole to home at the worst times, huh? [There's a flicker of a smile there, a brief shrug.] Been a while. Well, not for you guys, apparently, but suffice to say it's really disorienting to find out you can be gone that long when it's only been a couple days for everybody else.

[At least some habits stay the same regardless of time; he pauses there to adjust his glasses, brushing a stray lock of hair back behind one ear while he's at it.]

Anyway, couple questions now that I'm back here. First off, if anyone experienced with ice magic has some spare time... looks like I've got a few things to start learning. [He holds his left hand in view to demonstrate, the ring on it now back in place, and frost collects at his fingertips.] Just when I'd been getting more used to the body control, too, but I'm not complaining about it-- just rather not play catch-up on this without a little help, you know?

And second question-- I could also use somebody experienced with runes. I was planning on learning them myself, just about the time things decided to start going to shit more insistently than usual, but there just hasn't been a lot of time for that. Figured it's probably easier to find somebody else to get this done and go right for what I need here; I'm specifically looking for help with runes for tracking and any similar functions you know of. If you need more detail you're free to ask, I'm just trying not to go full t-l-d-r here.

[Ryan pauses there, frowning thoughtfully, before he adds on--] And if I went and missed out on meetings or anything, or you guys just need to talk... obviously you know I'm here, ping me and I'll be over, or we can just chat over this. Wouldn't say no to a few familiar faces.

((brief ooc note- he's been out of Asgard for a couple days on a canon update, Ryan has had a few years at home before returning. I'll have a write-up on that and hopefully some updated icons soon!))

Asgard.

[ so maybe Regina Mills has only one greeting up her sleeve when she is out of patience.

( and she is always so here, it would seem ). ]

Two matters. Firstly, the man you might have known as captain Hook,

[ she literally rolls her eyes at the name ]

Has been -- sent back by the Gods to continue his endless pursuit of vengeance and alcohol.

[ and she's annoyed about it, clearly. ]

Secondly, if the latest happenings taught us anything is that the Gods can vouch for our safety, perhaps; but that we also much vouch for our own. Natural disaster, war or any time of emergency would lead to a death toll unless there would be clear instructions of how to behave in such time and the order will be kept. I ask you this, there is no ruler to this city, no council and no mayor which explains the chaos and the panic and the blatant lack of order that came with the flood. With the lack of those, do you truly think we can vouch for our own safety? I don't suggest appointing one person to such a task I simply think that a council or a group that would work to make sure instructions would be given to everyone in Asgard, Natives and Travelers, to make sure everyone know what to do and where to go and what not to in time of battles, floods, earthquakes and fire.

I know we can't prepare for everything; but clear instructions and drills will help the people not to panic and after the flood, I think it'll be best if we all draw our conclusions as any community of mostly civilized people.
