( Alayne fiddles with the bracelet around her wrist for a moment before speaking - she's hesitant about addressing the whole of a city that she cannot see. After all, it's dangerous to be Sansa Stark these days, now that she's a traitor accused of regicide. But amongst the midst of all these voices, it's unlikely that hers will be recognized ( or so she thinks, as she does not know details of the network yet ). She is Alayne now, not Sansa. They will not know her. Lies and arbor gold, Alayne thinks. No one takes notice of a bastard girl. )
Gods of Asgard, I wanted to thank you for choosing me for such an important task. This is an honour that I did not expect. But I must think of my lord father - he worries so, and I wouldn't want him to fret. I'm only a young girl - surely someone more gallant should be chosen for a deed like this.
If it please you, I would ask that you send me back to him.
( but alayne doesn't expect much: no one gets what they want without a price. all she can do is ask. )

( duty, they said. but alayne has other duties. to her father, whom she owes a debt to. the plight of a strange land is pressing, but there are other things that take more importance. )
Is there a war being waged in Asgard?

[His tone is vaguely impatient--the sound of someone who's heard this sort of thing before. It's also resigned--the sound of someone who's pretty much given up on getting back any time soon.]

( it is not humility, no. nor is it self-deprecation. people have expectations of what they wish to hear is all. she had learned a long time ago that it was easier to speak within those boundaries than anything else. )

( but she has no doubt that those are only pretty words said to motivate them. alayne has no loyalty to asgard, only to her father, and she knows when she's being manipulated now. these are not deft schemes, but they seem to be effective amongst the citizens nonetheless. )

My lady, you are brave to speak up at all. I am certain many have asked but I am told these 'gods' do not listen.
Though..I do not believe we will be kept here forever.
[ though dany knows little of the place yet, she's determined to find a way out. there's no other choice but to do so, and if possible, to help return those that longed for home. ]

I'm told there's a war, and that's why we were brought here. But...surely there must have been some mistake.

[ children and tender girls, such are the people that the Gods bring here and Morgana has to wonder what do they expect of them. Why bring such sweet souls into a city of war? They are not warriors, there is benefit of it. ]
Are you well?

( but there is an utterly familiar feeling about this: about being in a new land and feeling like she knows none of the rules. of feeling trapped, like one of king joffrey's helpless pawns. alayne is a pawn in a different way now, and she likes to pretend that she isn't. )
As well as can be, and it is kind of you to ask, my lady.
( she looks like someone of noble birth, from the image on her screen. she speaks like one, as well. alayne says it only to be safe. it's important to remember the proper courtesies, but hard to address people as befitting their station in a new land. )

[ Here, too, is a young girl who was thrown into Asgard. ] But you're safe, at least. Perhaps you father knows that, and if not then you should do all you can to protect yourself, so that maybe you can return to him one day.
[ She smiles softly.] Everything will be okay.

You are very kind, to offer such words of comfort to a stranger.

but he is so sure. her words, her words speak so much - they tell him that she is of westeros. her words spark a flicker of hope but he cannot be sure. the device hides her face. please - by the seven - let it be her. the last they'd interacted it was through cersei's words, and he's only had small assurances that she was alive. in the back of his mind he was never expecting to see her again.
his voice is calm despite the fact his hands are shaking ]
Sansa.
( VOICE ) LET THE STARKPAIN BEGIN
it is his face that she sees on her screen, his voice projected through the bracelet, and alayne's heart begins to beat so fast. there's a catch in her throat, a sign that signals the beginning of tears, but she swallows them back for the time being. robb is here. robb, whom she believed dead all this time. tyrion had spared her the details of his death, and that had been his kindness to her. she knew that the freys had betrayed him at a wedding, that they had broken guest right, and she had hated them all for it. she had hated them so much that sansa had thought it would consume her heart in equal parts grief and anger. sansa had wept for days.
but alayne stone has no brothers, whether they be kings or bastards, and she does not know how to reconcile the two. especially not when he calls her by her old name.
you're supposed to be dead, she thinks. you died and then you lost the war and left us all behind. but alayne had not seen the body herself, she had only the words of lannisters to provide her truth. could they have lied to her? why would they have done that? what advantage did it serve them to lie about the death of their adversary?
the bracelet slips from her fingers and clatters to the floor loudly as a shaking alayne tries to gather up enough composure to speak. when she does, it's so quiet and so drawn that robb might not even hear. )
Please --
( she takes a deep breath. )
I...I beg you, not to call me by that name.

for a moment, she doesn't know what to say. she falters, and the facade that alayne had worked so hard to keep up was beginning to crack. how many times had she repeated her name to herself? how many times had she called lord baelish father? these lies were practiced so many times that she almost believed them to be true.
almost. )
I am Alayne.
( but there is doubt in her voice, creeping up on her. sansa would have given anything to see her family one last time, and that longing has arisen in alayne, more powerful than any of the other conflicting messages in her mind. )
