[When the feed starts, there's Inara sitting on her couch, nursing a cup of tea. She looks a little washed out, tired even, but such is the effect of having been gray for however long she'd been. She is slowly getting more color in her cheeks, so for that, she is most grateful.

She lowers the cup and offers a small smile.]

Nǐmén hǎo. Seems many are coming back from unexpected... uncoloring. [She frowns slightly because that just does not even sound right. But, it's what had happened to many.]

I'm not entirely certain how long I was not myself, but it would be nice to know what I've missed in my absence. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to fill me in?

What do you mean 'uncolouring'?

[Also excuse her for the not!staring (at least she did most of it before turning the feed on. This woman is almost on par with Rosalie in the looks department. Way above Rose with the whole manners thing, but. And, as far as she knows, human! Or maybe not? Couldn't possibly...]

Well it happens when one misplaces their bracelet or decide they don't need them. Apparently they somehow set us apart from the, I suppose, gray natives. Without the bracelets, we become like them and lose what makes us ourselves and also we lose our color and become gray.

[It's quite alright. Inara is use to people not!staring at her and doesn't even seem to notice when it happens, that and well to be honest, she's entirely too polite to let others when she does notice it.]

I don't believe we've met. Are you new?

So.. Take the bracelet off, lose who you are.

[Wow that sounds ten kinds of awesome. Never taking the damn thing off, then.]

Good to know. [Oh. Um.] Yeah, just. Got here yesterday. I'm Bella.

Yes, that's exactly what seems to happen.

[Inara's certainly learned her lesson. It's never leaving her wrist again.]

Can't speak for Simon, but you'll be happy to know that I've managed not to get myself shot or arrested this entire time. But... it's nice to see you back to your old self again.

[She somehow manages to keep her smile from turning into something that just screamed that she was suddenly nervous. It wasn't that she's not happy to see Mal - she's just not entirely sure how they're... getting along after everything.

BUT, as she thinks, she decides she's not going to let that get in the way of anything. ~~Hopefully it won't~~]

[Longer than I would have liked, he almost says. But even with certain... events having transpired, he's still every bit as unsure as she is as to just how things - as in, things - are going between them.]

It was a pretty lengthy spell. Came as a bit of a surprise, to be honest.

People always tell me I need more color... I guess that's doubly true here.

I was gone, but... I actually went home for awhile. I'm back now, though, and I'm not going to let myself be sent away again until everything is done here.

Uncoloring. Is this what they call it when one loses their bracelet?

[He knows about the effect of losing the jewelry, his brother has gone through it after all, but this is the first time he hears it being called something other then 'turning gray'. Which fits, he supposes.]

In order to relate everything that has happened here while you were gray, it would be useful to know for how you were not yourself, my Lady. All I can say is that in the few past weeks, there was some sort of winter festival, and we had to help melt the ice that was quickly covering the city. Other than that, nothing of note that I know of.

Well, it's what I call it. I found the term rather fitting.

[She sighs , rubbing her forehead. She probably has missed more than she'd like... Events and probably missed a good deal of people coming and going. She lowers her hand and takes a small sip of her tea before she speaks again.]

I seem to have missed all of those things. I hope you'll forgive me if I'm not able to answer your question as I'm truly not sure how long I've been gone. Last thing I fully remember is a friend of mine announcing the opening of a pet shop.

[He tries to offer her some sort of a reassuring smile] It is fitting, yes.

[He nods once] That is quite understandable, my lady. However I can not say I remember such an announcement either. I have been here for almost two turns of the moon, perhaps you have been...uncolored for longer?

Well, last thing I fully remember was Scott McCall talking about the pet shop he'd just opened.
