While there are many myths throughout my life I have found to have a root in truth, I had not expected Asgard to be a place I would ever visit. Being fresh from my home world, I long to return. From what I've been lead to understand, frequent and consistent social interaction is the most basic of ways to ensure that happens. And so I reach out to you, fellow victims.

I have read some of what's available to view on this network. It seems as though possessions occurred recently, and a grave tragedy was involved. I would like to offer my condolences to the respective parties. And while I understand the need to focus on lighter things in the wake of such tragedy, it disturbs me greatly to know that this Thiazi is capable of such things while all of our native powers have been replaced. How are we to defend ourselves against an assault on the mind stripped of the very capabilities needed to do so? 

I understand this is not a choice for Asgard's gods, but I challenge them: you are the ones who brought us in; you are the reason we are here. How do you plan to defend us against further assault? We are a precious resource to you. Surely, we are worth defending. Surely, we are worth taking action for instead of simply waiting for reaction to be necessary, and then stepping in. Surely, you have a plan.

And here I thought we might begin to resolve our differences. My mistake.

You are the one who decided upon arguing with me, or have you forgotten that already?

I have problems with people who don't ask very good questions.

My questions are perfectly legitimate. So far you are the only one to raise an issue with them. In fact, most of the others say they are questions many others have, in fact, already posed and received either an unsatisfactory answer or none at all.

Some people find answers quite easily if they know where to look.

And yet asking has given me swifter and more satisfactory answers than I have received via viewing a great deal many of these posts. More often than not, those only raised more questions.

I was referring to the library.

So you would have me resort to the isolationist route? I thought the main point of the gods bringing us in was to encourage social interaction. Questions are the most assured way of hooking another person into a conversation. I am trying to do my part. Surely, you can't blame me for that.

Isn't that an extreme assumption from that statement?

Shall I go meet new people at the library, then? Would that satisfy you?

Well, there was a great man who insisted upon it many a time. But you weren't very good at listening to him, were you?

[That line gives him pause. A "great man", is it? His mind wracks through his memories, as he sorts through who Harry might be speaking of, and only one name floats to the surface that may have that sort of attitude. The connection almost surprises him, but on the other hand, it doesn't all the same.]

Perhaps because he never said anything worth listening to.

The fact that you even think that tells me that you should stop before you even get started here.

Stop what, exactly? Despite our conflicting opinions on how best to accomplish it, I'm after the same thing you are here. All I want is to return safe and sound to my home world, to our home world, with its fate secure and in tact.
