♛ 9th Curious Thought || Day 397 [Video]

[It's early in the morning, Asgard. The feed starts with a young woman, clearly older, though there is something familiar about her, looking for all the world unamused. She is pinning up her hair.]

I do see Asgard hasn't changed too drastically in its notions of abducting someone without much notice, lady or otherwise.

[She finally finishes the task of her hair, mumbling something about "not even in proper attire" though some of it is a little too softly muttered to understand.]

Regardless, 15 years, I dare say, is a good deal to let someone away only to have insist upon their return, to the same house, I see. I would have nearly forgotten this place with another year, I'm sure.

[She quirks a brow. She's remembering bits and pieces, and is surprised, if internally, at the fact that she's apparently in her "old room." She's not even sure who is and isn't here anymore. Dragons, mayhaps, never age, so Marigold resting his head in her lap is not as much of indicator as she would like.]

Well then, I suppose, what have I missed, Asgard? If there is indeed something to have been missed. I recall Asgard's relationship with Time has always been something questionable.

[OOC: SO! Alice has been cursed to believe she was sent home for 15 years and brought back to Asgard as a now 22 year old. In actuality, she's just been aged up and hasn't left Asgard at all, she is in fact, mentally 22 though.]

You think so? I guess when I hear someone say lady, I think of someone a bit older than I am, that's all. [There is a shrug before she gives a reassuring smile.]

I'm sure the Doctor or someone would have looked after them if you were gone for a while, Alice. You don't need to worry about that.

I just hadn't thought of myself as one, I guess.

I would have tried to help if they let me too. Look after Marigold and all, I mean. But I'm glad you're back. Even if you are older.

[It's hard for her to imagine an Asgard with mainly just the native children to play with, after all.]

So um, what happened? Back home, I mean, if you were back there for so long?

I'm sure a lot happened though. I mean, fifteen years is a looooong time. You must have finished school, right? What did you do after that?

Fencing? That's...like sword fighting, right?

[And. Well. The household thing seems kind of boring and like cleaning or something. But she is not surprised Alice would keep up her painting.]

A suffragette? And what's courting? That doesn't sound like...like a tennis court or something.

The fan? Aren't they used to keep you cool though? I didn't think of them as a weapon. But I think I get it, the suffragettes. That all happened ages ago where I am from though. I wouldn't need to worry about any of all that. But I guess you are from a different time back home.

[Probably a good thing though, given Clementine's situation. Having nobody at present back home to help care for and look out for her.]

A code. Like a password? Or like...a set of rules you follow? Like that, right?

[personal profile] littlesurvivor 2014-02-09 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. I think I get it. That would be...that would be you wanting me to check on Marigold and Ladybell!

I got it! I don't think people use fans as much anymore. Or at least, not that I remember from home. So you used the fans to talk to the other women? So the guys couldn't tell what you were saying with them?

They must have been really important back then.

It sounds fun, kind of sneaky codes! I never learned anything like that. Besides maybe Morse code sort of thing.

Maybe. But that's just cause of the time you lived in back home. A lot of things for me you would probably find strange too, I guess.

We could? That could be fun!
