While there are many myths throughout my life I have found to have a root in truth, I had not expected Asgard to be a place I would ever visit. Being fresh from my home world, I long to return. From what I've been lead to understand, frequent and consistent social interaction is the most basic of ways to ensure that happens. And so I reach out to you, fellow victims.

I have read some of what's available to view on this network. It seems as though possessions occurred recently, and a grave tragedy was involved. I would like to offer my condolences to the respective parties. And while I understand the need to focus on lighter things in the wake of such tragedy, it disturbs me greatly to know that this Thiazi is capable of such things while all of our native powers have been replaced. How are we to defend ourselves against an assault on the mind stripped of the very capabilities needed to do so?

I understand this is not a choice for Asgard's gods, but I challenge them: you are the ones who brought us in; you are the reason we are here. How do you plan to defend us against further assault? We are a precious resource to you. Surely, we are worth defending. Surely, we are worth taking action for instead of simply waiting for reaction to be necessary, and then stepping in. Surely, you have a plan.

It's only logical, isn't it? Does your world not have sanctions against non-magic people/Muggles?

Logical, but unnecessary. There are certain regulations involving magical and Muggle interaction, the most notable one called the Statuette of Secrecy, which makes it illegal for a magical person to inform a non-magical one of the existence of magic. The Ministry goes to great lengths to enforce this, typically needing to resort to memory charms.

Ridiculous. You shouldn't hide who you are or be completely unable to protect yourself that you require a higher authority to move.

But for a man who's comfortable issuing challenges, that shouldn't be a problem for you.

Isn't that interesting. Well, it's a new land. Acquaintances have to be made once in a while, if only to make things less boring.

Indeed. It seems the reduction of boredom is not the only benefit, as the gods are ever so eager for us to engage in social activity for the purpose of bringing color to this land. Whatever can be done to strengthen our chances in the upcoming conflict, I would be interested in continuing.

Provided our interests continue to run parallel with each other, why not.
