video;

The longer I stay the more unbelievable things are getting.

[She's decided to work through her language barrier by throwing herself in head first onto the network speaking what fragmented parts she knows, sans euphemisms and references. She still doesn't understand those.]

There have been many floods over centuries but during this one I learned to glide on ice!

[Ice skating. She was horrible at it to start with but natural litheness made it easier to get the hang of it once she truly understood.]

These gods here. They are varying but their cause is understandable, if only they did not kidnap to accomplish it.

The deities where I come from have long since left or were lost.

Divinian, my language, is one of the last things passed down, known by very few, before they vanished.

What are they like where you're from? What are the stories and legends that you know of?

I am curious.

Here or... did you wish to meet and talk in person?

Oh no, I mean, it's fine here, I just didn't know for sure whether you wanted to meet or not.

[She pauses for a moment and taps her chin in thought.]

Hmm I suppose it'd be best to start with one of the more popular religious gods, the christian belief of there being the one and only God. It was widely accepted by a vast majority in a lot of countries in my world that this was the one true god and it's teachings were those of the Holy Bible.

It was the choice religion where I grew up and the followers could be very mellow or very fanatical. It really depended and even more so, there were varied and different denominations that interpreted the teachings in different manners.

I....

used to.

[Satellizer rubbed her arm a bit uncomfortably before looking back at the feed.]

A series of events sort of limited my reasons to believe.

[Satellizer shook her head and looked away.]

It's alright...

A-anyways, there's lots of more heroic legends and the sort, I liked reading about those back home, at least some. [Especially the ones about freedom and getting saved from a horrible fate.]

It's really odd, to have so many now that I think about it... If I knew all of them and sat down to re-tell them all to you, I probably wouldn't finish even in a couple of years I'd say.

Hmm, [Satellizer thinks for a while. This was a tough question for her since she had done a lot of reading to escape 'reality' when she was younger.]

Well, I can't think of a particular favorite at the moment, but I am fairly fond of greek/roman, norse and celtic myths and legends. [Ironically enough, they were stuck in a version of those very norse myths at the moment.]

Egyptian gods are also up there, they were rather interesting.

Many believe that there are, some however, believe there to be only one true deity and that all the others are false.

[She lets out a small sigh and relaxes a bit on her chair, looking thoughtful.]

It's odd, how religion and beliefs have brought about so much discord amongst the different beliefs sometimes to the point of large wars or battles when most, if not all promote peace and love in their teachings.
queenoftheforlornheart: (This doesn't bode well)

They've definitely started a good deal of conflicts, yes... I'm sad to say, even in everyday life. Lots of discrimination against the other religions can happen quite often I'm afraid...

Many at least tried to make it that way...

But sometimes the mass populous would ridicule them. They believed in their way being the only right way and everyone else was wrong.

Before? [She asked curiously, looking at the feed.]

What do you mean?

[Okay, now she was more curious than ever and looked at the feed with more interest.]

If... you don't mind me asking.

How did you save everything?

[It must have been both an extreme burden and an intense and unimaginable event in her life for certain.]

I... apologies... I guess I didn't mean to make you repeat yourself, I just don't quite understand entirely what that means yet.

It must take quite a toll on you though... I'm sorry about that as well.

Is there anything you like to do to keep your mind off things? The burdens?

[Truthfully, she had her own, but she had never really told anyone.]

I... I tend to knit when I want to just forget....

[That or eat hamburgers!]
