[ inb4... why did it have to be rising water woes......

so, er, it’s kind of apparent that rising water’s kind of traumatic for velige. ever since the water first started rising, he’s been feeling a distinctly uncomfortable. a sort of an ashamed disquietude. and while it’s no different from his usual pokerface, it apparently bothers him enough to the point where he’s willing to send a message out to the network in an attempt to assuage his uncertainty. ]

I need a favour. Define whats it like feelin sad.

Or tell me a sad story.

[he chuckles at the most kawaii jar but doesn't say anything else about it, picking it up from the shelf]

I'm good. [ shaking his head! he's okay with just tea-tea, and not... sugar-tea or anything-tea.

... now to wait for the kettle to boil. ] It'll take a bit. I can finish the rest. [ so go sit so he can play host or whatever. ]

Are you sure? [he's still not gonna let you pour that water. not with those shaky hands 8I]

When was the last time you ate? Are you hungry? I could make something for you. [correction: he could try making you something]

[ ... why are you so worried, mousey knight... he gives you a look of consideration. ]

... 'sfine. Can't eat anything right now, anyway.

Mm... if you say so. [he'll just stand here now making sure you're okay]

Right, right. Okay. [castor nods, STILL WORRIED, but he reluctantly goes back to his seat to give the guy some space]

[ HOW CAN HE MAKE YOU STOP WORRYING because making people worried is bad, mrrrr. ]

... you ain't convinced. [ because this is vel, and unlike normal people, he's liable to ask the unspoken. yeah. ]

To me, it didn't seem as if you were just having a weird experience. You looked.. traumatized almost.

[he sits quietly for a moment while his hands fold over the table] I.. know how it is to lose a family member. So I can understand the feeling.

[ he studies castor for a moment. and here's the conundrum-- he can't say sorry, because it'd be a lie. not for a lack of sympathy, but because he can't feel sorrow. and therefore whatever sympathy and empathy he wants to feel, he just can't.

the only thing he can do is to lower his head and nod. once. ] ... was my fault.

[he gives velige an even more worried look. he didn't mean to make the other boy admit anything & because of that he frowns]

Velige.. [he stands up now to stand near him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder]

[ sudden comforting hand on his shoulder! have blinking. ]

... 'm fine. [ ... a shrug. ] It just happens.
