still don't get why the people in charge don't just hire a team of landscapers and a bunch of people to paint everything
that'd be a lot easier, right?
[Replies will be in auto-format for what people respond with.]

[ there's a bit of softness in the end of her words, a trace of sadness, a trace of pain. she doesn't like having to cause innocent people pain, but does believe it's better in the long run. ]
The name's Hawkeye, Shatterer of Hopes and Dreams.

[He doesn't say that sometimes false hope is better than none. Not that he lacks in actual hope, that is.]
Better super villain?

Some people back home might agree with you there.
[ she tries to brush it off, but it's too recent of a wound to succeed completely. ]
But being a villain is too much work. I think I'd rather just be an archer.

I... guess you're kind of right? Nothing wrong with being an archer?
You're not secretly Robin Hood, are you?
no subject
No, though sometimes I wish I could be - he had it easy, only having to deal with the forests of Nottingham, instead of alien invasions or evil dictators. It was much easier to be a super hero in those days.

[Lmao derailed-- well, mostly.]

Ew.

Ew is right. It wasn't much fun, especially considering the only way you could force them to switch back at first was killing them. Not fun when you don't know which of your friends might've been taken.

[He feels like there's a lot of implication there. Or he could just be reading into it too much.]

[You know, lacking in choices and all that. It's hard to take things into your own hands when your hands are (not exactly literally) tied.]

No, they can't. It'd be neat if people did know. Sort of? I think? Or would that be stepping on people's toes a little too much?
Saw a movie about that once-- turned all dystopia.

That's when we get dictatorships. Besides, even if they do actually know what's best for everyone, most people don't like being told what to do just "because"
no subject
...what if you said "because A is bad for you compared to B"? Usually, if you put up a good argument most people kind of go along with the logic.
I don't really believe in that, but just for debate's sake.
no subject
You seem much too smart to believe it, don't worry.
People don't tend to present it that way. If they see an absolute, they argue the absolute. Or are vague enough with their end option if things don't go as they want that no one listens. It also gets back to people not wanting to listen past their own opinions.

People have free will for a reason. Some people use it for the better, some not so much.
