Well, humanity had a bit of a...set-back, I suppose you could say. A lot of things changed, or were lost. Magic has largely replaced the space filled by technology, in my time.

My, that sounds like the premise of a fantasy novel! Should I be going into emergency preparation mode upon my return, then? Battening down the hatches?

I'd suppose it depends on if it will even happen. I have a friend who switches through time against his will, and he's said there's no guarantee of how things will work out.

Though if you ever hear about something called the "Gear Project", you might want to be wary.
