NPC POST - VIDEO

[ It's not been often lately that any of the gods have seemed outright celebratory on the network, but here you have it now: Thor's face is lit up with a brilliant and almost triumphant grin. ]

Polish your armor and sharpen your swords. We've taken Tyr and his power out of Thiazi's hands, and we know now for sure: she will not stand a chance against us and our dragon friends.

We will leave at sunrise in two days' time, and know this, Travelers - she is afraid, and with good reason. In two days, we march to victory.

[ ooc notes: He'll be hanging around a while if anyone has any questions, but feel free to use this post for ic discussion/planning too! The ooc event post will go up detailing all of the minutia in the morning. Thanks! ]

[In contrast to his lookalike, Robb just looks somewhat worn out. And with good reason, considering what happened in the past few weeks and what's going to happen in two days.]

You have my sword, I've said as much in the past--but are we certain she doesn't have any more tricks up her sleeve? [He taps his fingers on the table, thinking it over.] We need to leave some men here, enough to hold the city while the rest of us are away. And there needs to be regular patrols of the city's defenses as well--someone may try to take those left behind by surprise and sneak in to take the city. [Guess who learned from Winterfell.]

She'll go to desperate measures to do so, and I've heard tell that nothing can be more dangerous than someone pushed to desperation. She didn't shrink from underhanded tactics before, [which the last event so rudely reminded him of, and there's a brief moment where he looks away, his hand twitching a little, but it's gone as fast as it came and he looks back] I've a feeling she'll be even worse now.

[There's a moment's hesitation, as though he's deciding whether to share this, before he sighs and continues:]

I left Winterfell in Rodrik Cassel's hands. When the ironborn laid siege to Torrhen's Square, he took most of the men to lift the siege and left the castle lightly defended, and while he was gone Theon Greyjoy took the castle. [He tells the whole story in a flat tone, but inside there's an anger boiling.] We have two enemies in this war. Should we leave to fight Thiazi, Surt [he's pretty sure that's the guy's name] may try to take advantage of this opportunity and take Asgard by surprise. We need regular patrols, we need enough men to have them, and we need to use these next few days to strengthen our defenses as day as we can. Are the engineers working on anything?

[Oh. The guy who got landed with Joffrey while he was still around.]

Then I'll ask them, and mayhaps Baldr as well, [not looking forward to that] along with whoever else will stay behind.
