12th Mishmash ~ [Video]
[ The moment the Doctor gets back into the city, he turns on the bracelet to, well. Announce his return. Except the moment it's started recording he seems to remember something, and instead he starts patting himself down, runs his tongue over his teeth and touches his chin and his nose and runs his fingers through his hair.
His hair which... isn't the same colour it usually is. But, naturally, he doesn't know that.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Doctor has ended up ginger. Temporarily, but he sure is ginger. ]
I still have the same body. Same chin, same nose, same teeth, same height, same everything. I died and I didn't change!
That is weird.
[ And he laughs, because it really is, and he starts walking about and basically doing... all sorts of things with his arms and legs, hopping and jumping and waving his hands. Because it sure feels exactly the same.
After a few moments of that, he starts talking. ]
Hello, everyone, I'm back! Did you miss me?
[ Before he ends the feed, he spreads his arms with a grin. ]

[Then they can have their proper reunion with hugs and everything.]

[ That is definitely needed. ]

[A couple hours later the TARDIS will be standing by the castle. She's not wearing the dress Idris had when she first became human. Instead she's got on one of his shirts and a pair of pants given to her by River. Definitely need to get some clothes of her own.]
[It's hard to wait patiently for him this time. Between the events at home and the ones here his presence has been very much needed so she's pacing, back and forth, watching the crowds to see his face.]

[ And, naturally, he spreads his arms too, even if he might just bump into someone like that. ]

[He's alive. He came back. She said he would but it's so very relieving to actually see him.]

[The words are quiet, muffled into his shoulder but filled with affection.]

You've rubbish timing for a Time Lord. Being dead when I arrive.

[ And he pulls away, grabbing onto his ear - again - with a hiss. Awful, awful.
But, of course, his expression softens a minute later. ]
I know, I know, I'm sorry.

[It's more dismissive than it is anything else. Retribution over, they can move on to other things.]
That thing I spoke of earlier. You need to know. [Pause and her eyes stay on his face.] You've got a new stray. I wouldn't have told you but it's a bit of an...odd situation.
action. That was supposed to be second or moment, not minute, wow
Maybe he shouldn't assume that Amy and Rory are gone, then, but the chances are pretty great they are. It was bound to happen eventually, of course, but. No... ]

She was there, in the Dalek Asylum and she died. Then she's there in London in the 19th century and she dies. Now it's Chiswick in the 21st. All of them the same girl but she never remembers. It's possible she may show up here.
[The TARDIS doesn't tell him about how she's intertwined into his past so completely either.]
If she arrives from the timeline you have yet to fix she will know your name. She found it in the library.

And yet, if it's the TARDIS saying it, then... Then he believes her, of course he does.
The girl who can, except she can't do that. The one companion who would know his name, if he can't-- But of course he can fix that timeline. Has to. The engine has exploded, so he has to. ]
Oswin...? I'll see her again?
[ Of course there's a hint of hope in his voice. He hadn't dared imagine... ]

[If she thought she could have gotten away with not telling him anything, she would have kept quiet on the whole thing. But there's a chance she'll show up here and he needs to be prepared.]
[Of course he'll fix it, he's clever like that.]
Ah, her name is Clara but yes. She travels with us on and off.
[There's a hint of...dislike in her tone.]

[ Definitely a bit more a 21st century name, he supposed... But then where did Oswin come from? ]

[ Because the name makes sense to get caught up on. ]
