007 - Video

[The video comes on to show a red-head, irritated and staring up at what looks like an overhanging sign in front of a shop door. The walls of the brick building are covered in vines, vine as far as the eye can see. They don't actually lead into the building, since she keeps the windows boarded up, but there's a lush sort of wildgrowth that covers every inch of the visible world.

She turns towards the camera angle and growls, making a twitching face of irritation.]

Ok, could all the folks in Sigyn please not use this week as their chance to practice their powers? Enough already with the plants! This is getting just a little ridiculous here, and I'm thinking of changing the name "Pinch of Sage" to "Heart of the Amazon."

Anyone got any weed killer, or at the very least, any idea how to stop this little prank from getting more out of hand than it already is?

Oh dear. I hope it wasn't too serious.

The one I talked to...he had glasses, and a streak in his hair. Was he the one who hit you?

[She colored again and, when she grinned, her fangs were visible. A giggle built in her throat and she looked over at the screen again.]

No, no. That's Eridan. He and I... heh, let's just say he's pretty violent too. Fin-face is just more cunning about it. Those teeth of his are really sharp, I promise.

[Rule of thumb, probably not the best idea to ask why she was giggling and blushing as she said this.]

[ She notices, but of course she'd never ask. Even if it were her best friend, she wouldn't ask! ]

Maybe I was lucky, then. He seemed nice to me.

Heh, I actually like that side about him. Maybe we're both lucky. You just get his cheesy, goofy silly side. Me? Well, we get to play around with our toys and get some aggression out.

Ah...haha... [ not sure if sincere laugh

BUT ANYWAY ] Then here's to being lucky.

Here's to it. I can't remember. Did I ever get your name before now? I think we talked before, but this place is so crazy sometimes.

I don't know. Hmm. But I'm Jasmine, nice to meet you anyway. Again, I think.

Wait...were you... [ She thinks she can remember it from somewhere. ] Samantha Grey?

Yeah, I'm almost sure it's again. And yep, it's Samantha. Hope the reason you remember that's a good one, but that's always a bit of a crapshoot with me.

No, I'm sure it's good. It was during the time that illness was sweeping the city... [ She goes quiet again, not really wanting to remember it. ]

Ok, there wasn't too much bad for me right about then, aside from some sleepless nights. We have a way of running into each other at odd times, don't we?

That seems to be a recurring theme around here. Odd meetings, that is.

Maybe that's part of why I put up with them so easily. They just don't feel normal, so it's hard to react the way I usually do. Still, it's not all bad. The people haven't been bad [mostly].

I find that most people here tend to get along. There are a few...misunderstandings occasionally, but that's my experience.

Depends a little on the people, but most of them sure seem to try to. Doesn't always work that well.

Yes. It's just a little hard finding the right people. The first time I responded to somebody's message, I was yelled at.

heh, if you'd poked me the first time I got here, I'd have shouted at you. Probably best you didn't.

That's...good, then. [ She supposes so, in any case. ] We all need time to adjust.

Yeah, adjusting was a little tough for me at first. Shouted at everyone.

You've stopped now, though? [ A little unsurely. ]

I stick to shouting at the people that I think have earned it.

Fair enough...there are still some troublemakers here and there.

I probably am one of those, yeah. It's usually good to know your own sort of scumbag. Helps to know which ones really should get a talking to.

I don't think you're a scumbag...I mean, not that I would know, but...er, never mind. [ That came out wrong. ]

Oh trust me. I'm not always a nice, sweet girl, even ignoring the crazy moments. Don't worry about it, though. I try to keep my trouble to sane levels.

That's fine. I won't. [ She smiles again. For now, this girl seems nice enough...even if it seems she has to be wary not to anger her. ] Thanks for talking, at least I know a little more about these plants now.
