I never saw war, but I've been in battle and the society I come from was heavily based on survival of the fittest.

The spirits have talked about war to me before, though. I guess it isn't that much of a jump from what I'm used too.

Being in battle gives an understanding of war, that is true. At least, it gives insight to one aspect of it. War functions in many different ways.
