[She clearly has no idea what she's doing. For starters, the video is just of the wall to begin with. Mostly she's just hit buttons until something seemed to happen.]

Is this...? Oh dear, this is so dreadfully confusing. Well...

[Finally she comes into view, curls all arranged perfectly despite her absence of maids to attend her, or near enough. Admittedly, her hat is hiding most of it, but that was the novelty of such a large hat, and she was glad she had them, because doing her hair was going to become... difficult. Almost as difficult as lacing up her corset by herself.

She's also sitting on the stairs of the Welcome Hall, and somewhere between a frown and a pout on her face. She was doing alright with being here, some part of her was even excited... but... well she couldn't go out through the water. It would ruin her dress, and on top of everything else, she disliked feeling trapped, even if she was used to it.]

I'm told that others can see this? I'm a little confused but... does anyone know how to leave the buildings without... well, getting damp?

[She leans on her hand, sighing a little, just a bit bored too.]

It depends really... my mother said she would of preferred I had been eighteen, but it was such a lovely arrangment, the match of the season really that... she didn't want to keep me when I was to have such happiness. Usually though, it's never later than twenty-five. [She drummed her fingers against her cheek a moment where she rested it.] But I wouldn't worry on it, marriage is... a very large undertaking. Perhaps it is better to wait till you are wiser, and can be sure of the man.

[ Rapunzel hesitates, bitting at her lip in consideration. ]

I thought— I mean, I was thought a spouse was someone you want to spent your life with. Not something matched. And - just one person? One man? That doesn't seem fair at all.

... Well sometimes their can be great happiness after such arrangements. My parents were such and they were very happily married. And...

[This is getting hard, she doesn't want to lie straight out, that was for her husband.]

... perhaps you should speak to someone else? I might not be the best to ask.

[This girl was young and innocent, there was no need to ruin such things for her. Time to change topics, and quickly.]

[ If there's one thing she recognizes it's question dodging, but the suggestion she's going to take to heart, make a challenge out of it. She will figure this out. Whether from Georgina Cavendish or someone else. ]

[Georgiana new the name, a name from stories. Perhaps her parents were fanciful. If so, she felt even worse for speaking of marriage. It wasn't fair to ruin things like they had been ruined for her.]

Lovely to meet you Lady Rapunzel. But please, just call me Gee, all my friends do.

[ It's probably a rude thing to do, but she giggles at the addendum. ]

Gee, huh? Does that make us friends Lady Gee?

[She doesn't mind, the girl seems to have more of a heart of a child than Georgiana did at such an age, so she just smiles back.]

I don't see why not. Would you like to be friends?

That's our job isn't it? [ Her own smile softens a bit. ] Making friends. Feeling things and coloring this world? It's... why we're here.

[Georgiana almost wants to laugh, but not for joy. Amusing and glittering for others is what she was known for, made famous for, so famous that she helped change the nature of politics and thus later the country. Perhaps that was why they had chosen her, though she wouldn't be so arrogant to think she stood out that much.]

Perhaps so. Things are easy to colour though, you just have to approach them the right way.

[ Likewise, the significance of what she says gets Rapunzel's attention in an entirely different way from before. ]

[She sighs, but it's not unkindly. Tricky to explain when it was such a broad thing.]

Human beings are diverse things, wouldn't you say? But mostly, they like to be amused. They like to stare and have things to marvel at. [She knew it well, because to most people she was the marvel.] It's not a bad thing though. Does that answer your question.

[She wasn't exactly sure what it was she wanted to know to be helpful.]

[ In answer, Rapunzel gives a slow, measured nod, uncertain but not for the same reason this time. ]

But you make it sound...almost cold. [ Her gaze wanders to something off-screen. ] I don't know if that's what they meant. The gods, I mean. I think what they really want is just... for us to live our lives. I've been here for over a month and I haven't done anything special at all but— I've still given dozens of people faces, and there's a lot that's been colored because of just my being around it and using it. You know? I don't think it's as cynical as entertaining people. Just... living seems like enough. Feeling happy or sad or finding things you love to do. Know what I mean?

I do. [Georgiana nodded, she understood perfectly. Better then most.]

That you understand so much means you probably already do much. I did not mean to make it sound cold, either. I'm not quite myself at the moment, maybe after some reset, I might serve better.

Oh. I don't know many people from there I don't think. Not everyone really goes around talking about which House they're in... What's your - um. Which power do you have?

It's not that exactly. I think a lot just prefer not to think about it you know? Like... it makes everything - real to think of having a placement and a power.

... I have no 'power' at home, so it doesn't seem very real to me at all. Seems more like one of those old stories, about witches and mages...

[But it wasn't a bad thing, she'd never had a power before.]

[a nod] Many, things like the Gods here, mythical things that were mostly discredited as just stories.

[Only, now they were real, apparently.]

That's incredible. [ And if she's honest with herself a little disturbing. ] You must feel like you're living in a storybook don't you?

Is it? [She looks around her again.] I don't know if it's... disturbing so much as... just very strange.

It's the grey that usually tends to make people feel that way. Disoriented.
