[So Yori has had a sudden realization, and it actually makes him kind of worried! The fact that there is apparently some flawed logic at work here makes him wonder if it means there won't be a ~~Friendless Losers~~ Neighbours Club any more, and that would be sad. Because he likes the club. HE WILL SEEK CLARIFICATION, obviously.

I just realized something, and I'd like for some to clarify this to me because it's kind of weird and might mean something about the club!

This club is for people to learn how to make friends, right? And we don't let people who have friends join the club. So what happens if we're friends with each other?

The answer is obvious. People in the club don’t count as friends, they are test subjects on how to make friends. Thus, people inside the clubroom aren’t considered friends at all.

...Oh. But I think of them as friends.

I... joined i-it recently, because I have a hard t-time making f-friends, myself. I still d-don't know every member well, but i-it's scary to know that they'd reject y-you if you have friends... it d-doesn't make much sense, but... I don't know.

I believe it is to assist others in acquiring the skills that are often made to gain friends and become likable in many different environments and situations, rather than only support for those without friends.

I find it a little weird that we apparently don't let people with friends join, then. Wouldn't it be more helpful, in that case?

I believe they would supersede naturally and unknowingly intimidate or take the reins in a situation like that.

You're thinking about something you shouldn't be thinking about! You're in the club because you have trouble making friends right? But if you managed to become friends within the other members of the club then that means the club managed to fulfill its purpose but it would also mean the end of the club in which case, that would also mean that you'd lose your friends too!

I'm sorry to intrude, but if the requirement is that one doesn't have friends prior to joining the club, it doesn't necessarily imply that friends are a disqualifying factor if gained after joining the club. Perhaps you could analogize it to an ambassador's diplomatic immunity. They will have a hard time becoming an ambassador if they have committed a crime previously, but if they do so under immunity, it wouldn't be prosecuted.
