[He didn't know what sudden whim had prompted him to suddenly test the extent of the gift he'd been bestowed, turning on the feed to one of the more spacious rooms of Draupnir with him sitting neatly at the piano. Maybe it was the lack of any proper sleep over the last several days as some may notice at this point, but he begins with a short piece that should do more than enough to stir feelings of nostalgia and comfort to those who hear it, perhaps even coax into a warm sense of tiredness. Those close enough might find their surroundings thinly veiled by fog, but it was little enough that they might not even notice after some distance.

However, the music evolves into another melody that quickly disperses the somber peace of before and replaces it with a sense of urgency, sadness, but at the same time an overwhelming hope and plea. Those who knew Eyes Rutherford personally would never have suspected such strong emotions were coming from his creation, and te powerful loneliness would be the most poignant of anything else felt.

But halfway through his hands stop and fall to his sides, the pianist closing his eyes and bowing his head almost as though in prayer as the soft illusions created by him fade. He won't finish it just yet.]

It's meant to be a social event -- to relax and to unwind while enjoying some music. It's a bit informal, but I think it'll serve its purpose well.

Perhaps it will bring you to that grand place, but who's to say it won't also lead to despair? [He wasn't intentionally trying to dampen the mood, but it was what he thought of so often it hurt.]

Hope and despair go hand in hand. So even if something leads to despair, hope isn't far behind. Then again that is entirely up to people and how life treats them.

I would be in Freyr House, and that would be the district we are in now, just on its edges. If you wish to reach Odin, the quickest way would be to cut through Freya and Baldr Districts.

One would like to believe it is always the case, and perhaps it will be if this music has pressed you into feelings you to seek a wonderful and grand place.

I am most familiar with Enrique, he works in the theatre as well. The other three I have only spoken with or heard of in passing, though they are talented with what it is they have to offer.

I might still take the path that lead to despair, it depends on my reasons. I know I'd take that path if it meant my friends would see a better tomorrow.

[Frey had notices Eyes' exhaustion, certainly. The shadows under the pianist's eyes had only grown over the past few days, and he was listless... quiet. Well, quieter then normal.

He'd grown worried, covertly making sure to bring a little extra food along with his 'extra' portion of lunch that he usually offered Eyes. He couldn't make him sleep, he knew that well enough, but at least he could make sure of something. But he'd figured out two days ago the food he'd been giving him hadn't been eaten, either. Charles had taken great care in locating a tossed sandwich in the trash.

And this music.... it drew him over to where he knew Eyes would be, a soft pang in his heart that he knew was likely caused by the melody. What was he playing....? It was so sad...]

Not necessarily, but in the event we were to do a collaborative piece together in some manner it does give me a better understanding.

Would you like to? Singing with an accompaniment would be lovely, or a piano duet. My piano skills aren't as great as yours, but I could manage, I think.

When I arrived not even the Welcome Halls held colour. It was brighter than this until recent events. [As emotionless as he may seem, he had been deeply disturbed by the grey at first and had wasted no time in filling the area with music wherever he was. Before long, it held without him being there.]

It's a matter of either getting used to it, or helping in the efforts to restore it again.

[Absorbed in the music as much as he was, Eyes still notices when Frey enters the room even if he makes no immediate acknowledgement of him. His eyes wouldn't open, and his hands remain still, and if Frey wished to speak with the pianist at all he would have to be the first to speak.

For all his efforts to not become close to anyone here in Asgard, he knew Frey would likely be one of the few to notice that he had not been well, despite efforts to hide it.]

I wouldn't object to it, assuming we took the time to practice beforehand. For when do you plan to hold this concert?

It'll be right at the end of the month. [ day 212! luka's been busy setting things up and organizing and scheduling, starting just about a week ago, but there's still some time to practice ]

I know it's a bit short on time, since I'm telling you a little later than the others. If we decide to do this, we can practice as much as you see fit.
