[She clearly has no idea what she's doing. For starters, the video is just of the wall to begin with. Mostly she's just hit buttons until something seemed to happen.]

Is this...? Oh dear, this is so dreadfully confusing. Well...

[Finally she comes into view, curls all arranged perfectly despite her absence of maids to attend her, or near enough. Admittedly, her hat is hiding most of it, but that was the novelty of such a large hat, and she was glad she had them, because doing her hair was going to become... difficult. Almost as difficult as lacing up her corset by herself.

She's also sitting on the stairs of the Welcome Hall, and somewhere between a frown and a pout on her face. She was doing alright with being here, some part of her was even excited... but... well she couldn't go out through the water. It would ruin her dress, and on top of everything else, she disliked feeling trapped, even if she was used to it.]

I'm told that others can see this? I'm a little confused but... does anyone know how to leave the buildings without... well, getting damp?

[She leans on her hand, sighing a little, just a bit bored too.]

Difficult for me, I miss my children. [But still, she did like the idea of it.] I guess so, and I guess it is up to us to take advantage of them...

[Neither is she really, but she's too beaten down to really want to try just yet.] I promise not even a giggle. It would be very ungrateful to do such a think to ones saviour. [She gives him a small smile, and she wouldn't really. She was a little better trained then that.]

"Well, I suppose that's with anything. You have to be smart about it..."

She laughed a little. "Not much to tell, really. And near London is where our main estates are. But we have them in Bath and Ireland as well. They look a bit like this, really." So it wasn't too foreign, which she was grateful for.

It may be of little consolation but those you left will not notice your absence if my experience is anything near average. They will have you as they did upon your ah, arrival to Asgard. Less damp, of course. You will have to tell me about them once I rescue you.

[He's had his hand in raising more than a few in his time and it's something he actually enjoys, though it could be something that all of his kind have some affinity toward.]

You are best not to stroke an egoist's ego. Simply thank me and I will be more than fine. I should be there in oh, fifteen minutes.

[He's going to just save himself a bit of dignity by turning his feed off. It wouldn't be appropriate of him to let her listen in to him sloshing in a foot of water barefoot. Muttering in very improper French. But, he's true enough to his word, letting out a clipped sigh when the Welcome Hall was in view.

... That is a consolation, yes. Thank-you for telling me that, really. [A huge one, that her children wouldn't be missing her or be left alone.

She nods, very grateful.] Yes, thank-you, I will see you then.

[She just sits there on the stairs, watching the water and waiting for him, and when she does, she beams widely.] Hello, Monsieur. [And not a giggle to be heard, as promised.]

[The water is cold and therefore he is a little on the chilled side. This is disregarded, however, for the beaming woman straight out of the Victorian era. It's not the most dignified approach he's mustered but it'll suffice. Promise kept, he made his way to settle on the steps beside her; casting the ongoing water hazard a disinterested look; speaking up finally]

Occasionally I am ah, being a man of my word... [Okay, so counting ringlets is better than ripples. :|] Funny. You would think that I would be able to place your accent... [He's got a few guesses.]

[She's a little earlier then Victoria's reign~ More along the Marie Antoinette era, who incidentally is her chief rival in fashion setting, ahem.

[Her question makes Francis snort, a little dismissively--furthered along with a slight shrug] You could say that... Though, mon amie, I was not questioning that, as a Frenchman. [quickly:] I would be horrible not to know of my neighbor, non?

No... I meant to question the region. Certainly not the north. [He's heard Arthur get drunk and slip along the dialect too many times.]

Well I guess the two countries do have a bit of a history, to say the least.

[She blushes a little, hoping she hadn't offended him.] No, not at all. I spend most of my time in London society, if that helps at all. My husband is the Duke of Devonshire, so we spend most of time near court, or it spends most of it's time near us, if I was being particularly arrogant.

Oh right. You probably need rest after this. Um— Which House are you in again, Gee?

I'm in Freya house.

Oh. I don't know many people from there I don't think. Not everyone really goes around talking about which House they're in... What's your - um. Which power do you have?

Oh... are you not supposed to? A couple of people have asked me which I am in...

And I honestly have no idea. [shrug]

"Flooded with a foot of water?"

He gave her a playful smile.

"I've been to Bath, really enjoyed it. It's like going to Rome and England at the same time."

"Exactly like that." She tried to be serious, but it didn't work, and she broke into laughter.

"I've heard Rome is lovely in the summer, if hot." And apparently the fashion there was different too, and she just sighed for the thought of it. "You sound very widely travelled, my lord Castle."

[And more laughter, since if there's anything Diva loves, it's gossip. Oh dear. But she doesn't linger on it, just nodding in agreement.]

Mm, I can think of one way, but it might take a while... Because if you talk to the people who are really faceless and grey here long enough, then they'll get to be more like normal people, you know? And if you're clever, you can kind of get them to do things for you, since they're pretty grateful that you did that. So if you pick one of them out, then you can maybe cheat and have a maid that way?

[She giggles slightly, shaking her head] But don't tell anyone else I said that. I think most people here would think badly about that, but they don't really understand is all.

Castle shrugged but there was a coy smile on his face.

"I'm a popular novelist back home. Fortunately that affords me a certain lifestyle where travel is possible. Plus I travel for work or research as well."

You could go by the roofs, if you're strong enough.

[Have a very blank look for that, and probably confused.]

Is that... safe?

She picked up when he said that, intrigued completely. "A novelist? What kind of books do you write? It must be very exciting to travel and research like that."

[ooc// dunno how this is relevant, and it never comes up in the movie, but she's written a book as well... which is basically about how much it sucks to be a woman, lmao :|]

It is if you're pretty strong. One of my friends can travel like that super fast! But it'd probably be pretty hard in that kind of dress.

Yes it might be, it's not really made for that sort of thing.

[It's not particularly unkind, she has issues being cruel to children.]

... I suppose that might work. They're grateful for it? [Contemplating that, she nodded.] How strange. Or maybe not, but I'd hate to use them...

As he always said, his profession allowed him to come up with various ways to kill people - something only psychopaths also did, although Castle got paid for it.

"I like to do research with real life law enforcement so I can bring an authenticity to my characters."

"Oh, that does sound thrilling. Do they always catch the villain in the end?" That would be her favourite part, if she ever read them. "Do you like thinking up all the different clues and such?" Asking if he liked imagining murder seemed a little off, as far as social niceties went.

"... Law enforcement? Like magistrates and such?" That was as far as she understood it went, and the men that worked for them.

If you only knew. [Forgive his temporary rudeness for speaking under his breath, Georgiana. He could tell you everything that the footnotes in history texts don't bother going into detail over, but by the time he was done this water would dry up naturally and then he's down one damsel in distress!]

You do not have to sound so apologetic, Duchess. I hardly was finding it, ah, arrogant. [No, it's expected quite honestly.] London is a lovely city. [Jokingly:] A lady should be allowed to enjoy herself rather than associating with such a troublesome process.
